16-1 Drinking Water and Heavy Meatal Test
Water test strips are made for qualitative and semi-qualitative water quality testing.
​
Follow these instructions to ensure that you obtain proper results.
​
1. Collect two (2) separate water samples (one for each strip) in a vial, cup, or container.
2. Immerse the test strip in the desired water sample and remove within 1-2 seconds.
3. Hold the strip horizontally and do not shake excess water from the test strip.
4. Take a picture of your test results within 30 seconds in a good light.
5. Compare the results using the color charts below.
6. Submit the images of your test
7. Receive your customized water report and recommendations from the experts

AVOID TOUCHING OR POLLUTING THE TEST AREA OF THE STRIP OR KEEPING STRIPS IN PROLONGED SUN​
Changes in color that appear along the edges of the test pads or 2 minutes have passed are of no significance.
Bacteria Test
​Follow these instructions to ensure that you obtain proper results and stay safe.
​
1. Pour 50 ml of water into the Bacteria test bottle.
2. Gently shake for 20 seconds.
3. Wait for 24 to 48 hours to observe color change.

5. Submit the images of your test
6. Once testing complete, add bleach to the test bottle and flush down the toilet and wash hands.
